BUILDING TRUST:
A UNIQUE POLICE-COMMUNITY EVENT
We are proposing the organisation of a unique event designed to build trust and strengthen relationships between the police and the local community. This event - Breaking Barriers, aims to foster open and transparent dialogue between officers from the Metropolitan Police and the residents of Lambeth.

EMPOWERING POLICE
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

KEY
OBJECTIVES

Facilitate open and honest conversations between the police and the community on real and challenging topics.

Highlight the key challenges faced by police officers, including community engagement, crime prevention, and public safety.

Inform and inspire young people about the diverse career opportunities within the police force.

WHY IT
MATTERS
In a world where relations between the police and the community are often marked by mistrust or misunderstanding, it is crucial to open direct channels of communication. This event will give residents, particularly young people (aged 14+), the opportunity to ask questions, voice their concerns, and be heard by those responsible for their safety. Additionally, it will offer the police a chance to demonstrate their commitment to strengthening trust through a more human and accessible approach.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING

A live podcast featuring police representatives and community leaders, discussing topics relevant to the local community.

An interactive session where participants can ask questions and engage in constructive discussions with the police.

A relaxed setting with food, drinks, and giveaways to create a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
