LEVEL UP: EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION
In 2023, Find Your Feet CIC launched the Level Up Programme to support vulnerable and at-risk 16-25-year-olds in Lambeth. Under the theme "A Summer of Self-Discovery", the programme provided young people with essential life skills, confidence-building activities, and career development opportunities.
Through interactive workshops and hands-on experiences, participants gained valuable knowledge in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, career planning, and wellbeing. With expert-led sessions and real-world opportunities, Level Up equipped young people with the tools to take control of their futures and thrive.

Expert-led workshops with industry professionals, including HSBC and NBCUniversal, providing real-world knowledge and networking opportunities.
A recruitment mixer with NBCUniversal, giving participants direct access to professionals, career advice, and potential internship opportunities.
PROGRAMME
HIGHLIGHTS

Entrepreneurship: our Hustle Smart masterclass empowered participants with the tools to navigate the challenges of launching and running a business, boosting self-confidence and entrepreneurial skills.

Financial literacy: in collaboration with HSBC, participants learned about increasing earnings, managing finances, and smart saving habits through the Money Masterclass.

Career development: the Kickstart Your Career workshop provided guidance on career advancement, negotiation of pay raises, and personal branding.

Mental health and wellbeing: participants attended mindset and motivation sessions to support mental health and develop resilience.

Fitness, nutrition, and independence: Interactive sports and nutrition sessions encouraged participants to adopt healthier lifestyles. Participants also learned how to cook healthy, low-cost meals, empowering them to become more independent—especially important for care leavers and looked-after children, who face unique challenges in transitioning to independent living.

IMPACTS
The Level Up Programme made a profound difference in the lives of participants, reducing their vulnerability to NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) status. It also fostered social mobility by offering free access to high-quality development opportunities typically reserved for privileged circles. Our sessions on healthy cooking further supported care leavers and looked-after children, equipping them with practical life skills to help them thrive independently.
One of the most notable transformations was Makiah, initially unemployed and pending trial. Through consistent attendance and engagement with our sessions, he not only grew in confidence but applied for an internship with NBCUniversal, demonstrating the transformative power of targeted support.

Our aim is to expand the reach of the Level Up Programme, based on its success in Lambeth. We are actively pursuing additional funding to broaden our impact and empower more young people across London.
